‘RUN FOR RESILIENCE’ @ MANGOPLAH 2021

WRAP UP

On Sunday 7th November we held our second Run for Resilience event @Mangoplah! It felt like a miracle that it went ahead with lots of odds against us like Covid restrictions and thunder storms,  BUT the sun came out, restrictions eased and it was a beautiful day!

A mix of walkers, kids, prams and elite level participants were able to enjoy the sights of farmland around the unique course.

The ‘Run For Resilience’ was designed to provide a challenging, fun and family friendly event to look forward to in spring. In a world where it's hard to find the time and motivation to keep active, this event provided the inspiration required for the local and surrounding communities. This event also provided the community with an opportunity to get together, have some fun and enjoy the community connection even with Covid restrictions in place. Approximately 15 ‘virtual’ participants completed either 5km, 10km or 21km distances around Australia on the same weekend.

Results are below, along with access to the photo gallery collated from Mangoplah and ‘virtual’ events around Australia.

A special thank you to the 38 volunteers who helped out on the day - we could not have done it without you, and of course our amazing event organising committee! Thank you to all the photographers who supplied us with photos from around the course, and to Hugh from Mountain Duck design for filming our event.

Well done to everyone from near and far for making this such a successful event! Money raised from this event will go toward continued support of the local Active Farmers communities around Mangoplah. Check out our events page to see when and where our next Run for Resilience events are!

Last, but not least, thank you so much to all of our amazing sponsors who made this wonderful event possible.
