ACTIVE FARMERS GAMES 2020
The 2020 Active Farmers Games
were held at Lake Centenary, Temora NSW,
on Saturday 14th March!!!
With COVID-19 hanging over the Games, all precautions that could possibly have been taken to ensure a successful, happy and healthy Games was enforced! Thank you to everyone who adhered to these precautions, and made it a happy, safe and healthy 2020 Games!
The aim of this event was to raise the importance of physical & mental health. We also wanted to inspire more men to get off the farm, or out of the house, and to give it a go. We encouraged families to attend by having the kids course, plus DJ Leighton Marshall, emcee Leigh Ryan, the ‘Wobbly Boots’ band to entertain afterwards, and of course a delicious brunch supplied by Rotary Temora, Combaning Larder and others.
53 teams entered the Games which equates to 159 active participants (93 in the Timed Event and the balance in the Un-timed Event), with approximately 80 kids undertaking the kids course!
Special thanks to Alison, Rob, Joe, Julie and their helpers who spent the week assembling the course, and to our volunteer force which exceeded 70 on the day, without you it wouldn’t have been as successful!
